Announcing for the FIRST TIME EVER: The South Dakota Teen Choice Book Awards - brought to you by the South Dakota Library Association's Young Adult Reading Program (YARP)!!!
Teens can read from the current year's list, which can be found at YARP 2007 or at the YARP State Library site, http://library.sd.gov/teencenter/yarp/index.htm, and then vote on any book they read.
The Voting Online Form can be found at http://library.sd.gov/forms/yarpvoting/default.aspx. Teens can also rate tech book to let the committee members know how we are doing in tech choices we make for the reading list.
For those teens that do not want to vote online there is a paper copy located in the teen area. Fill out the form and place it in the Teen Tech Time Computer. The paper form vote will then be entered on the online voting form by the Teen Librarian.
There will be two winners: one for high school age books and one for middle school age books, but teens can read and vote for any book they want.
Voting ENDED APRIL 1st and the winners will be announced during National Library Week - April 13th through April 19th.
Next year the reading list will be released during Teen Read Week, October 12-18, and voting will begin immediately.
