The Mitchell Public Library Board of Trustees meet every second Tuesday of the month at 5:00pm. To view the minutes of the meetings select the year and then the date of the meeting. MEETING OF THE MITCHELL PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES, TUESDAY, APRIL 8TH, 2008.
The Mitchell Public Library Board of Trustees met on Tuesday, April 8th, 2008, at 5 p.m. in the community room at the Library. Board president Blumer called the meeting to order at 5:05 p.m.
Members present: Blumer, Claggett, Lapka, Margheim, Molumby, Taylor.
Members absent: none.
Minutes. The minutes of the March 11th, 2008 board meeting were read and approved.
M/S/P—Claggett, Margheim. A copy is on file at the Library and will be available on the via the website.
Director’s report. The Director’s report was approved as given.
Unfinished business. The topic of placing a reminder of overdue items at the library on the water bill was discussed. City Finance Officer Marilyn Wilson said that could be done, however, there is very limited space for any type of message. The Board instructed the Director to pursue the matter.
New business. The annual report to the City was discussed. Each city department is required to send in a report of their activities, special events, statistics, etc., for the previous year.
Term renewals and elections were discussed. Elections for President and Vice-President will be held at the May meeting. There are 2 board terms that will expire in May. The
board positions are currently held by David Margheim and Jim Taylor.
