During the Month of December bring in Your Overdue Library Book, Video, CD, or Cassette and Exchange a Can of Food for the Overdue Fine. This Does NOT include the Price of a Damaged or Lost Item. 
When an overdue Mitchell Public Library item is returned to the library there is a fine. In December 2009 a canned good can be donated in place of paying a fine for each item that is overdue.  The item must be returned in good condition. All lost and damaged items will still be charged the replacement cost. Previous fines and replacement item costs will still be charged to the patron.
The Mitchell Public Library is collecting food the month of December 2009. Please, bring any canned food item to the Mitchell Public Library. The canned food will go to the Mitchell Food Pantry.
