The Mitchell Public Library Board of Trustees meet every second Tuesday of the month at 5:00pm. To view the minutes of the meetings select the year and then the date of the meeting. MEETING OF THE MITCHELL PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES, JUNE 12TH, 2007.
The Mitchell Public Library Board of Trustees met on Tuesday, June 12th, 2007, at 5:00
p.m. in the meeting room at the Mitchell Public Library. Board president Jim Taylor called the meeting to order.
Members present: Blumer, Claggett, Lapka, Margheim, Taylor.
Members absent: Molumby.
Minutes. The minutes of the April 10, 2007 meeting were approved. They are on file at the library. There was no meeting in May.
Director’s report. The Director’s report was given. In addition, the Director informed the Board that there were 542 children signed up for the Summer Reading Program and 42 signed up for the Teen Program.
Unfinished business. Landscaping the library grounds was discussed. A member of the Master Gardeners came to the library after the April meeting and discussed landscaping ideas with the Director. She came back a couple of weeks later and took pictures. She said that would come back at a later time.
New business. Election of officers was held. Evelyn Blumer was elected President and David Margheim, Vice-President.
The 2008 preliminary budget was discussed and approved. Some of the figures will change as costs are finalized. The 2008 budget is 2% more than 2007.
